Who We Are

Sugartopia was founded in 2014 in Cornelia, Georgia, by Wendy Tedder, out of a strong desire to make quality birthday cakes for her family. By the time Jamie Keller was hired on as a cake decorator in 2018, Sugartopia’s popularity was gaining rapid momentum in Habersham and surrounding counties.

While decorating cakes, Jamie quickly realized she had a knack for developing relationships with customers and boosting sales became her full-time focus. Kelly O’Mary got her start in 2019 as a wedding cake delivery driver and soon found a permanent role managing all things administrative. Sugartopia was a place where kindness, support and encouragement were contagious and they were both hooked.

In 2022, Jamie and Kelly had the opportunity to purchase the business and immediately jumped into action. “We finally realized that we can take our dreams and make them a reality, unlocking a superpower within ourselves,” Kelly says. Jamie adds, “Kindness and a quality product are the foundations of our business model. We’ve always known that Sugartopia is so much more than cake!”
